Copy photograph of Sir James Fergusson, the eight Governor of New Zealand. The photograph is a head and shoulders portrait. Fergusson was killed in an earthquake in Kingston, Jamaica, on 14 January 1907. The photograph is included on page 18 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
