Description
A collection of taonga Māori arranged on a kiwi feather cloak. The taonga include: a carved wooden taiaha/staff with feather decoration (A77.303) upper left; a mere pounamu/greenstone weapon (A77.257) centre; a carved wooden patu/club (A77.191) right; a carved whale bone wahaika/short club (A77.223) centre; and another mere pounamu/greenstone weapon (A77.258) lower left. The photograph was taken to be included in a calendar published in 1970 by Ivon Watkins Dow, the agricultural chemicals company.
