View of a bridge over the Ararata Stream on the Tiplings' farm, Mangawhero Road, Maata, Eltham. The bridge is made from the chasis of the former No. 9 New Plymouth tram. The tram was formerly the property of the New Plymouth Tramways Company. In July 1954 New Plymouth Tramways decommissioned all trams from service and all trams were eventually sold auction. The man in the photograph is Mr. William (Bill) Reader, manager of the Tiplings' farm. The Tipling farm formerly belonged to the Wills.
