A line of A. Parkes Carrier trucks are parked outside a group of buildings. Writing on the first truck on the left of the photograph reads "A. PARKES CARRIER. / OPUNAKE." Further writing on the cab of the truck identifies it as a "Leyland" truck, a "5 TON MODEL" and the carrier company's phone number as 35. There is a man sitting in the cab of this truck and leaning out the side window. Another five men lean against the bonnets of the other vehicles. The lower half of the photograph is dominated by a grassed area.
