Description
Carte-de-visite of Samuel Joll (1832-1899) seated in a photographic studio with his three sons. One son is seated in Joll's lap while the other two stand on either side of him. Samuel Joll and his sons are all formally dressed. The boys wear matching smocks with light-coloured collars and neck ties. The son on Joll's left hand side is holding a hat. The group are arranged in an elaborate studio setting that includes a painted backdrop of Mount Taranaki, an ornate chair and a curtain.
