Credit line
This penguin was donated to the Puke Ariki collection by Richard Lambert in April 1982. Richard is the son of Ron Lambert, the director of Puke Ariki when it was still known as Taranaki Museum. The penguin was rescued from a second hand sale and given to Richard. The penguin is designed to stand upright, and has clearly been very much loved – he is now missing an eye and has some bare skin on show after some of his feathers were loved off!
