A metal money box with a round copper plate on each side "NEW ZEALAND/POST OFFICE/SAVINGS BANK" is written on one plate. The other plate features a New Zealand coat of arms. It has an arched handle that bears the number "64797", and a slot at one end designed for coins and a circular opening designed for notes. "FISCUS Ltd/ RICHARDSON MCCABE & CO Ltd/WELLINGTON./ SOLE AGENTS FOR/NEW ZEALAND" is engraved on the top.The keyhole for the box is on the base and the key for the box is wedged behind one of the plates.
