Copy photograph of a studio portrait of Charles William Broughton, interpreter to the Armed Constabulary Forces, killed at Kākaramea pā, north west of Pātea, on 1 October 1865. The photograph is a bust portrait and shows Broughton wearing a jacket and waistcoat. He has a beard. The photograph is included on page 11 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
