A collection of material relating to Pam Bromley (1925-2019). The majority of the material consists of research notes for her book ‘Hawera and District Centenary’ published in 1981. The collection also includes research for the opening of the Kiwi Dairy Company in Hawera, photographs of various locations around Hawera, photographs of the Douglas brickworks prior to demolition, research on the homestead of James Lysaght and a watercolour of the church at Ketemarae Pa painted by Pam.

Aunty Pam, being the widow of Jack Brewer Matangarara Road, Taiporohenui, Hawera. Jack's mother Rebecca (Dolly) Brewer, nee Nicholas, and husband Bob Brewer farmed 1000 acres that encompassed Hāpotiki Marae. The Nicholas farm on South Road viewable from Hapotiki the birthplace of Aunty Dolly and her 11 siblings.
