Formal cabinet card portrait of Arthur James Goodwin (1864-1927), son of James and Jane Goodwin from Midhurst. Arthur married Agnes Maria Zimmerman in 1900 in Stratford.
"Palace Studio Co. / C. P. Cottier, Manager New Plymouth" is embossed on the card on which the photo is mounted. Photographer Charles Percy Cottier (1872-1950) had a studio on Devon Street in New Plymouth, and later worked in Inglewood and Hawke's Bay.

Arthur James Goodwin 13th July 1864 at Pigeon bay, Akaroa, NZ. The son of James and Jane Goodwin Midurst, Taranaki. Arthur james goodwin married Agnes Zimmerman 1900 in Stratford, NZ. he is my great grandfather.
