Description
Records for the Employment and Vocational Guidance Centre, New Plymouth. The scrapbook, slides, audio tapes, correspondence and scripts relate to Patricia Keiller's (Vocational Counsellor for the Employment and Vocational Guidance Centre, New Plymouth) research for the pilot programme 'Girls Can do Anything', circa 1985. This was an initiative aimed at 13-14 year old girls to teach them about the changing role of women in society and the changing work cycle of women, as well as emphasizing the need for girls to broaden their vocational horizons beyond traditional female occupations.
