A round earthenware wall plaque. The front of the plaque is handpainted showing a Yellowhead / Mopua sitting on a branch with five large open clematis, five buds and large green leaves set against a dark background. The edge is thick and painted gold. The back of the plaque is brick red and bears an almost undecipherable label:- " Blanche with Love from Her Mother." The writing on the plaque reads " Mrs W Turton, Queenstown. ".
This plaque is thought to have been produced as a plain piece by Milton Potteries. It was then painted by Annette Turton who gave it to her daughter Blanche.
