Credit line
This is an extremely rare type of firearm. If the wooden stock is attached to the revolver the weapon may be used like a rifle. The revolver is, perhaps, the only one of its kind in New Zealand. It belonged to Major Harry Atkinson, a commander of the Taranaki Bush Rangers, who later became New Zealand's Premier.
