These two photos are of a "Charter Parade"where the ship exercises the right to parade "with bayonets fixed, flags flying and drums beating. The two Lieutenants are escorts to the Mayor. The band is the Royal New Zealand Navy Band. Commander Lewis initials are J.A.B. (I had the great pleasure of being in Command of HMNZS TARANAKI from late 1980 to mid-1982, when she was de-commissioned. She was always known as the "Tiddly T" Tiddly meaning very smart in Navy talk
