Description
The Waitara branch of the Lady Galway Patriotic Guild was formed in July 1940 and worked with the Patriotic Council of Waitara Borough and Clifton County Councils. The Guild collected and repaired clothing for distribution to blitzed families in Britain and later Polish refugees in Pahiatua.
The records include minutes, financial accounts 1940 -1945 and a number of circulars including one from the Wellington Guild, 1942.
