Description
A New Zealand Medal. The silver medal features a left facing profile of Queen Victoria on the obverse. " VICTORIA D:G:BRITT:REG:F.D " is marked around the edge of the profile. A wreath is featured on the reverse with " NEW ZEALAND VIRTUTIS HONOR " marked around the edge of it. "3183 PTE T. BISHOP 57TH FOOT." is marked on the edge of the medal. The medal is topped by a straight suspension bar ornamented with fern leaf designs and a blue ribbon with a red central stripe is attached to it. It is mounted as part of a medal group of four with medals issued for service during the Crimean War.
