Description
A New Zealand Medal. The silver medal features a left facing profile of Queen Victoria on the obverse. " VICTORIA D:G:BRITT:REG:F.D " is marked around the edge of the profile. A wreath is featured on the reverse with " NEW ZEALAND VIRTUTIS HONOR " marked around the edge of it. "1861 to 1866 " is marked within the wreath. "J.B. POYNTER TPR POB. BY. M.V." is marked on the edge of the medal. The medal is topped by a straight suspension bar ornamented with fern leaf designs. The ribbon is missing.
