A Volunteer Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. The obverse features a right facing profile of Queen Victoria. " VICTORIA REGINA " is marked around the edge. The reverse (which is partially obscured by the medal mount) features a laurel wreath with superimposed ribbons. " FOR / LONG SERVICE / IN THE VOLUNTEER / FORCE " features on the ribbons. "4494 Sgt J. ANDERSON 1st V.B. SEAFORTH HIGHRS." is inscribed around the edge. The medal is attached to a plain green ribbon by a straight plain suspension bar and the ribbon is mounted on cardboard.
