A New Zealand War Service medal 1939-45. The cupro-nickel medal features a portrait of King George VI on the obverse."GEORGE IVS VI D:G: BR OMN:REX FD :IND:IMP" is embossed around the outside. Two fern fronds act as the suspender for the medal. "FOR/SERVICE TO/NEW ZEALAND/1939-1945" is marked on the reverse of the medal. The ribbon is missing.
