Description
An Italian War of Independance medal fitted with an 1866 bar. The round silver medal features a a left facing profile of Victor Emmanuel II of Italy. " VITTORIO EMANUELE II RED ITALIA " is marked around the outside of it. The reverse features a robed figure " GUERRE PER L INDIPENDENZA EL UNITA D'ITALIA " is marked on the reverse. A green, white and red striped ribbon is attached to the medal by a simple suspension ring.
