Description
An Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. The silver medal features a trophy of arms with the royal arms at the centre. " FOR / LONG SERVICE / AND / GOOD CONDUCT " is marked on the revese. "22 SERGT. J. NIXON 2-18TH FOOT." is inscribed around the edge. The medal is topped by a scrolled suspension bar. It appears this bar may have originally been swivelling but it is now fixed in place with a dab of solder. A length of crimson ribbon accompanies the medal.
