Sir Peter Buck memorial, Okoki pā
Description
View of memorial to Te Rangi Hiroa (Sir Peter Buck). Memorial takes the form of a stylised canoe prow, and dates from the 1950's. Buck's ashes were interred at Okoki pā in 1953. Okoki is a historic pā site, 3km north of Urenui. The memorial is at the northern end of the pa. Buck lived from 1877 - 1951.
