Description
Dinopium benghalense. Common name: Black-rumped flameback woodpecker.
It has a bright golden yellow back. The head is black with red feathers, which when alive would stick up. The underbelly is white, dirty brown with black spots. The flight feathers are black with white spots. The tag around the leg says ' Brachylophius hemipodius (Picus Bengalensisa Auct.), (No74_ India. The identification is possibly a synonym.
