Description
Diary owned by Frederick William Martin, beginning in 1897. Records his daily activities, where he worked on those days and how long for. Recipes - as his wife Sarah could not cook so they learnt together and Fred recorded those they had made in the diary. Songs composed by Fred - signed F W Martin Composer. Pencil sketches of animals, trees and houses. Bread lists, animal skins collected, payments made, names of his children and lists of whips and bridles made.
