A scout's carved and painted wooden woggle in the shape of a bear's head. The eyes of the bear are nearly closed.

It is thought this woggle, which scouts use to thread their scarves through, was carved and decorated by the prominent Taranaki scout leader Fred Coleman. It may have been Coleman's personal woggle, given his scouting name was Baloo, after "the sleepy brown bear who teaches the Wolf Cubs the Law of the Jungle" in The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.
