Green coloured bottle in good condition. Has a ribbed body and is capped with an ornate stopper. Contained "Tinct Opll", and has a gold and red label stating this. Approx date 1880.

This bottle may have contained Tincture of Opium, also commonly known as laudanum. In the 1800s laudanum was commonly prescribed as a painkiller and to suppress coughs. It was used without a prescription, but is now strictly controlled as it is highly addictive.
