Aerial view of Waiharoto pā. Image shows the large headland pā surrounded by a defensive ditch and bank. Pits are visible on platform. There is a large cross to the left of the image to aid in the location of the site. Site is located on a headland between the Mangaone and Mangatarata Streams, that run into the Tangahoe River. On the east side of Ohangai pā. Approached from the east fork of Lysaght Road, off Ohangai Road, Hāwera. Approximately 0.8 km across the paddocks. NZAA site number Q21/6.
