A Regent shaped 30 ounce clear glass syphon with a clear glass internal tube. " BOYD & McCRONE / OPUNAKE / MT EGMONT. / TRADE MARK " is etched on the glass. The text and decoration surrounds a profile of Mount Taranaki / Egmont. " BRITISH SYPHON CO. LTD LONDON " is etched in small text below this. " PIKE & WATERS " is marked on the metal plated top along with the logo of the British Syphon Manufacturing Company Limited " BRITISH SYPHON / Co LTD / LONDON / BSC T.M PAT5068 ".

I was born in Opunake in 1943. I remember well going to the factory to buy soft drinks, it was later sold to the Waite family also from Opunake. I think the trade name was Western bottlers and also they used the name of Tropic.
