A white metal medallion marking the Centennial of Ackworth School. The obverse features a right facing profile of Dr JOHN FOTHERGILL, FOUNDER OF ACKWORTH SCHOOL / BORN 1712 - DIED 1780 is marked around it. "IN COMMEMORATION OF THE CENTENNIAL OF ACKWORTH SCHOOL - FOUNDED 1779" The reverse features the school buildings and grounds. " ACKWORTH SCHOOL / FOUNDED 1779 / IN COMMEMORATION OF THE CENTENNIAL OF ACKWORTH SCHOOL. 1879. " is marked around the outside.
