Cross, War Merit
Description
An Italian War Merit Cross (Croce al Merito di Guerra) . The bronze cross features a Royal cypher " VE III " under a crown / MERITO DI GVERRA " is marked on the horizontal arms. A sword fringed with oak leaves features on the bottom arm. The reverse features a five pointed star on a background of rays. A large suspension ring attaches a striped blue and white ribbon to the cross.
