View of Orangi-Tuapeka pā taken from the beach below, at the mouth of the Kapuni River, south of Manaia township. NZAA site number P21/6.
The dog in the foreground is a cairn terrier called Jassie who belonged to Pehimana (Benjamin) Carr from Normanby. Ben's wife Relda (nee Telfer) was Dr Alastair Buist's surgery nurse and the pair would often accompanied Buist on trips to such sites.
