Catherine(Kate) Bertha O'Brien, 4th daughter of Catherine & Michael O'Brien was a schoolteacher at Ihia Rd School Opunake. she married Thomas Aloysius Mullighan in 1925. They had no children but bought up the youngest 2 of her sister Ellen's children when Ellen died - Margaret(Molly) and Johanna (Joan). Unknown man Benjamin Charles O'Brien - Kate's brother.

Benjamin Charles O'Brien married Frances Mary Mulligan in 1931. Ben was the only son of Catherine & Michael O'Brien born in 1898 he died in a car accident in 1949. They had 2 children, Michael Benjamin O'Brien & Terence Patrick O'Brien the unknown man is Benjamin Charles O'Brien
