Description
Two photographs of the interior mechanism room of the new clock tower taken in 1985. The photographs were taken shortly after starting the mechanism with the four faces of the clock synchronised and correctly timed. Henry Rodgers, a horologist from Nelson, stands inside the room with Alan Reed of Boon, Goldsmith and Company, the architecture firm that designed the replica tower.
