Description
Ngatu, barkcloth. Base pattern in light brown dye rubbed over pattern tablet. Cloth divided into four main horizontal sections by overpainted dark brown lines; central band of pattern edged with triangles intersects these. Each of the eight sections has a circular motif with royal crown in the centre, with a trio of small brown painted circles either side. Plain numbered edges. Painted lettering at one corner appears to read: 'Touni. H / Pasi P.' Cut from larger cloth.
