Description
A copy negative of the ship 'Roebuck'. The 'Roebuck', a ship of 290 tons, commissioned in the year 1699, during the reign of William and Mary, by the first Lord of the Admiralty to undertake a voyage of discovery to New Holland under the command of William Dampier. On the way back to England she foundered near the Island of Ascension.
