A bullock team hauling a large rata log up a road towards the 'Wilkinson's Castle' construction site, Pukearuhe. The driver of the bullock team is pictured holding a whip lower right. The caption beneath a copy of this photograph in Chapman-Taylor's album for 'Wilkinson's Castle' reads: "Whole trees were hauled up / & hewn with axe & adze for beams. / This Rata log is now the / tie-beam in the Livingroom."
