A group of men hoisting the large rata beam into place over the front entrance of 'Wilkinson's Castle', Pukearuhe. The caption beneath a copy of this photograph in Chapman-Taylor's album for 'Wilkinson's Castle' reads: "Hoisting up the Beam / over the front Entrance. / Six men could not lift / it without tackle. / A big & heavy Rata / log whose original / shape & character is / retained."
