Description
A silver goblet with a wide mouth, concave body short stem and a round base. The goblet is decorated in raised rosettes and scrolls. " PRESENTED TO / Brother William Black P.M / As a token of esteem and regard / from the Brethren of the Tongariro Lodge / of Free Masons No. 1007 E. C. / WANGANUI 5th OCTOBER/ 1859" is inscribed on the front. The goblet is held in a two-piece cylinder covered in brown leather and lined with red satin " BRUSH & MAC DONNELL. SIDNEY & MELBOURNE " is written in gold on the edge of the interior of the cylinder. The manufacturer's mark is featured near the lip of the goblet.
