This window is from Norian, a unique hexagonal house built in New Plymouth in 1947. The name of the house was based on the phrase 'no right angles' and all its design elements were hexagonal. The house, at 36b Sanders Avenue in Westown, was the brainchild of the eccentric beekeeper and inventor Edgar Roy Brewster. It hosted more the a quarter of a million visitors over the next 20 years and was finally demolished after Brewster sold the land in 1966.
