An account of a railway journey from Wellington to New Plymouth by James Parr, December 1895. James describes his experiences along the route, the people he met and comments on the places and the history attached to them.
Also a copy of a letter to his brother in law Thomas French dated 19 May 1899 indicating that Parr is transferring to New Plymouth.
