Description
A Queen's Sudan Medal. The silver medal features the Jubilee bust of Queen Victoria on the obverse. " VICTORIA REGINA ET EMPIRATRIX " is embossed around the bust. The reverse features a seated Victory figure holding palms and laurels with flags in the background. The medal is attached to a yellow and black ribbon, that is divided by thin crimson stripe, by a simple straight suspension bar. "3458 PTE. J.W. NOAKES 1/LIN. R". is marked on the edge. The ribbon is mounted on cardboard. The medal is mounted to show the reverse.
