A group of Maori performing a powhiri on Moturoa Wharf at New Plymouth Harbour for the crew of the USS Staten Island who are watching from the ship. The USS Staten Island was an American icebreaker ship which docked at New Plymouth in 1958 on its way to the Antarctic for Operation Deepfreeze IV.
