 Description
An Egypt Medal. The silver medal features a left facing veiled profile of Queen Victoria on the obverse. " VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX " is embossed around the edge. The reverse features the Sphinx. "EGYPT 1882" is embossed above and below it. "2617 PTE. L. IRWIN, 2/ MANCH: R" is marked on the edge. The medal is attached to the blue and white striped ribbon by a straight, plain suspension bar. The ribbon is mounted on cardboard and the medal is mounted with the reverse showing.
