Description
A Sutlej Medal.The silver medal features a young head profile of Queen Victoria on the obverse. " VICTORIA REGINA " is embossed around the profile. The reverse features a standing Victory figure holding a laurel crown with a pile of weapons at her feet. "ARMY OF THE SUTLEJ " is embossed around the figure and " MOODKEE /1846 " is embossed underneath it. The medal is attached to a dark blue ribbon with crimson edges by a ornamental scrolled suspension bar. " FREDERICK JOHNSON 50TH REGT " is marked on the edge. The ribbon is mounted on cardboard.
