Wiremu Tutu Tahana had three children. Karo, Mere and Ano to Mary Bishop. NB It was Wiremu's uncle Te Tahana Papawaka who died childless. He was the leading Native Assessor or magistrate. He was a chief at Te Hua.

Mary Bishop and Wiremu Tahana had a daughter , Mary Tahana as well as others. Mary Tahana married Cum Sing. They had a daughter called Minnie Barr(nee Sing) as well as others. Minnie Barr had many children with her husband George, and she was an amazing woman like her ancestors before her. Their legacy lives on.
