Definitely NOT the Archilles Spotter plane which was a Supermarine Walrus. This is the Saunders-Rowe Cutty Sark used by the NZ Permanent Air Force (predecessor to the RNZAF) in the early 1930s. Based at Hobsonville it was used for general duties and carried out the first recorded air-sea rescues in New Zealand.
