The HMS Dunedin was a Danae-class light cruiser commissioned in the UK in 1919. Before serving in the Second World War she provided assistance to Napier after the Hawkes Bay earthquake in 1931 with the HMS Veronica and HMS Diomede. THE HMS Dunedin was sunk on the 24 November, 1941 by a German U-boat North-East of Brazil.
