 Description
A copy of The Christian Daily Treasure Book of Sacred Verse and Holy Counsel. It has an ornate wood panelled cover with a painted floral decoration and a red canvas spine. " CHRISTIAN / DAILY / TREASURE BOOK / BIRTHDAY / SOUVENIR / WARD LOCK & CO LTD " is marked on the spine. " To Mary / With kind love / from Isabel / Tukapa / June 1890 " is handwritten on the reverse of the title page. The book features dates, inspirational headings such as " GIVE LIBERALLY " and " WORK ZEALOUSLY " along with prayers and Biblical quotations. Each of these pages is separated by a page of lined paper divided into sections.
