Exterior view of the Oakura Hotel, Oakura. "Oakura Hotel Vic Barnes" is painted on the awning - Victor James Barnes was the proprietor in the 1930s. There have been several hotels on the site, the first of which was built and operated by Richard Jury in the 1860s. Butlers Reef Hotel was built in the early 1900s. Charles (Chas) Bond was Publican there circa 1933.
