Little is known about the history of this doll. She was donated to Puke Ariki’s collection by Mrs H Cartwright, who lived in New Plymouth, but little is known about the doll herself. She has clearly been quite a favourite, as she is missing a little finger and looks very well-loved! She also sports a handmade gown, possibly made by a loving owner or owner’s mother.
